Most part of the Sambalpur town effected by flood which started from 7th of Sept to 11th of Sept,2011. Particularly people from Govindtola, Dhanupali, Shankarmath, Hirakud Colony, SBI Main Branch area, Mandalia Ground Area, Badbazar and others down places of the town faced lot of problems during this flood.
